Why doesn't forum drop-box automatically go to desired forum?

	I am used to Web-based forums. On most of the forums I've been to, the forum selection drop-box at the bottom right of the page automatically takes you to the selected forum once you've clicked on it. Here, you have to click 'Go' manually. I am using IE on Windows (I know, I know - I've already ordered one of the new iMacs, so please accept me! ) - is this any different on any of the Mac browsers? Thanks!
