Oh My! I just came here to post exactly the same thing! But it's true.. This has been asked for before, On more than one occasion. And I remember one of the Mods using the excuse that it could not be done because of all the server problems MacNN was having at the time (Although they had no problem giving us an utterly ridiculous SIX forums for OS X!).

So, no excuses now guys.. The server problems are seemingly fixed.. It really is about time we got our Audio/Music forum here.. It would be very useful to many users to have an area to discuss music making on the Mac, audio editing and audio hardware interfaces etc etc..

Lots of new (and potentially confusing) audio technologies just around the corner.

Working out the new MIDI system and CoreAudio will be new to all of us...we will need help.

Will include questions about the iPod, iTunes etc.

Rename the MDV forum to "Multimedia, DV and audio"

There was an audio forum at one stage - what was it called, "MP3"? It was a graveyard.

Use MDV.
