I think it would be a good idea to break the iMac forum into two fora: One that would discuss the original "jelly bean" iMac, and one that would be exclusively related to the new "desk lamp" iMac. WIth different screens, different processors, etc., they seem like two distinct computers despite the shared name.

i don't think two forums would be the best idea. the different models of the imac do have different specificiations, but having a single imac forum is the best idea since the forums are based on the different product lines because the users of each product tend to have different questions. the imac forum is essentially the "consumer mac user" forum while a forum like the powermac forum is geared towards users with more technical questions and issues which concern only their machines.
