It's already started! How about a forum on the"upcoming" US election, with a filter on all other forums to direct all politico posts to it. And maybe only US citizens to post in it.

At least the post has a CLEAR topic! Why did you click it? And if you didn't, then why do you care? It's no worse than all the "post pictures of your setup/desktop/dock/desk" threads that appear all the time.
