I don't know what it is but the last few days some forums have caused IE to go into the spinning beach ball cycle. Even replying to a a post can cause the same thing.
Just thought I'd point it out.

quite often, it seems to be the banner ads causing this...

It's at times like these that I feel the internet really sucks. Millions spent on infrastructure and the basic browser comes across as something written on a Spectrum.

Yeah- I've started using OmniWeb for MacNN. It's a nice browser, but slow.

I'd sure be nice if the browser I used for everything else worked here.
