Go back to the quoting style before the upgrade
i have no need to quote something nested to the 2nd or 3rd degree
editing it is annoying when most of the time i want to quote the latest post. Only sometimes does it happen that i want to quote multiple posts but i can do that manually with quote tages to better format my argument
and it's annoying when other people dont edit (inluding myself) out of laziness. it's a literal waste of space in most cases. if macnn is adamant about sigs....tehn this "feature" is more egregious in wasting space thans sigs are.
i dont even trust "reply quotes" too much because they may have edited the original post and left out things that were originally posted
and for the lounge...which gets the most activity, i dont think it's necessary to have a nested quote to the 5 th power about Footy's cat and how it likes to scratch furniture...(example)
do what you want, i prefer if you could get macnn to stop crashing. and i dont want to turn my cache to zero

and i think most people dont even read nested quotes
because they probaly already read it if they go about a thread chronologically
i think nested quotes may be useful in tracking down what the f*ck somebody is talking about sometimes but that doesn't always work as you may comment about the latest posy and the unedited nested stuf is till ther and making the new stuff even more confusing

The Navzilla theme makes it look pretty cool as well.

Nested quotes were annoying to me at first, and while they're still bothersome I don't mind editing them out too much. I don't think they serve any purpose in particular, other than to clutter up the posts. So if this feature can be disabled, I'd like to see it go, too.
