You know, like a lounge forum, but for real. A "users only forum".

just a suggestion, not a complaint

I think he means a mod-less forum, one which we can go in and say sh*t like "f**k the police" or whatever and no one gives a f*ck.

(of course, I don't need that kind of a forum )

My name's ...uh... it's a bummer man.

I just keep seeing threads locked for no real reason. ITS THE LOUNGE! THINGS CAN BE A LITTLE "INAPPROPRIATE"!

The only reason threads in the lounge should be locked is if it's total spam ("buy my...", posting 200 new threads etc). Look at any of those CSS threads ("I'm old and..."), locked, when Its just a little humour. Nothing "offensive" there really.

the lounge is for threads that do not fit into any of the other technically-based forums. it is not a forum for being a punk. read the user agreement again or skip to the bit that says,

...You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this BB to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law...
and you'll see what i mean.

It's a tech BB on the whole, the Lounge is just provided for members to discuss other stuff. We're not interested in providing a space for people to act like goons for the hell of it. People can talk about whatever reasonable subject they want in the Lounge, as long as they go about it in a reasonably decent way.

*shrug* Not such a big deal...

And frankly, we lock very few threads on the whole. We try to have moderators intervene as little as possible, as the Ideal Situation would be that you'd never notice they're there ... but they're *always* there, of course. The forum is generally laid-back, but people work to create that atmosphere.

I prefer hard cheeses, but gorgonzola is good too.
Apple: bumping prices, not specs.
