Recently I've seen a lot of posts with comments like "closed, because this topic is covered in other threads" or "do a search, there are tons of threads with answers to this question". But damn, take a look at thread titles! Stuff like "HELP!!!" or "PowerMac problem" or "Check this out" really doesn't say jack what the thread is about.
And then UBB search. This must be the most rotten search engine on the planet. It takes ages to find something, it gives almost no feedback on what it's doing and your choice of what to query is a joke (btw, does it even have logical operators?).
All in all, I can understand very well that people can't find stuff on this board but also I understand that people don't want to answer Joe Blow's stupid newbie question for the thirty-second time.
So, can mods change the thread title on a UBB board? And if yes, why don't you guys do it more often. If "PowerMac problem" means that somebody's PM doesn't boot anymore since the last RAM install couldn't you change the thread title to something more descriptive like "PM doesn't boot since RAM install". I think we would find things much faster on this board and at the same time there would be less people posting already discussed stuff. Not to mention those lame posts like "check this out" where ten thousand users open the thread to find out it's just a picture of some celebrity's new pet or other crap like that...
