Sorry- but many of the ads you guys serve causes IE in OS X to lock up and go spinning beach ball.
It really makes me avoid this place when using IE (most of the time).
MacAddict and Arstechnica do not have that problem.
I don't know what it is about the ads, but Mac IE really doesn't like them.
I can't go half an hour of forum reading here w/o needing to force quit and restart IE.
Please do something about it.

They are working on it. A lot of people (me included) have that problem since the server upgrade.
I have just started to use Omniweb until the prob is fixed.

The answer is not for us to change browsers. The answer is to get rid of those god damn obnoxious pop-up ads. There's nothing to work on. Just get rid of 'em.

Pop-up ads are something intolerable about the forums, but unless people start leaving because of them, no one is going to do anything about it. The truth is that they're profitable.

The truth is that the mods are doing what they can to get rid of them.

"The pop-up advertisements that have appeared on MacNN are the result of a misunderstanding with our advertising broker that lead to the ad's unwelcome implementation. We have filed for removal from the pop-up program, and we appreciate your patience as our request is processed."
And, we're trying to fix the IE crash bug.

They've told me that they'll be gone in 2 weeks.
Here's to hoping...

A new version of IE is out.
Supposedly it fixes this issue.
If it does, then I don't care about the ads
