The Register has one, SpamCop too, and others. Is it difficult to put in? I think it'd add a bit more flavor for the Mozilla users. Thanks.

Here's all it takes. I think they are nifty, too:
</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Geneva, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif">quote:</font><hr /><font size="1" face="Geneva, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif">
* Mozilla now displays page icons in the url bar (Expect support for shortcut icons (aka favicon) in Mozilla 0.9.7). Page icons can be defined in the html head section of a document like so:
<LINK REL="icon" HREF="images/mozilla-16.png" TYPE="image/png">
<LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="/images/global/branding/dellecomicon.ico">
</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="1" face="Geneva, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif">

I was actually thinking about that earlier, but I wasn't sure what kind of logo we could make in that small space. Any ideas?

A while back APU got the Lounge folks to design him a bunch of sigs. Maybe we could post a request in the Lounge. I'm sure many of the creative folks would jump right on it and have a number of options by day's end.

How about a little magnifying glass with a plus in it.

How about this:
<img src="http://www.macvillage.net/~rja/macnn.png" alt=" - " />
Keep the PNG version and use graphic converter to create a copy as a .ICO file.
upload and add the following to the head section of all pages:
</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Geneva, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif">code:</font><hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;"><LINK REL="icon" HREF="http://yourdomain.tld/path/to/macnn.png" TYPE="image/png">
<LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="http://yourdomain.tld/path/to/macnn.ico"></pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="1" face="Geneva, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif">

Sorry, make a few small mistakes with the requirements. I modified the images. I put both in a stuffit archive available below:
<a href="http://www.macvillage.net/~rja/macnn.sit" target="_blank">http://www.macvillage.net/~rja/macnn.sit</a>
Just link to them as stated above.

It works, but the background is white instead of transparent. Think you can make the bg transparent and then make the mag glass color a little bit lighter so it's easier to see?
Thanks a bunch.

I made the image a bit easier to see:
<img src="http://www.macvillage.net/~rja/macnn_v2.png" alt=" - " />
And I attempted to make it a transparancy, though I don't know if the ico format supports transparancy, or if Graphic Converter supports it. If so, then it should be since I ran an eraser over the white around the image, if not, then it is white.
Every site I have seen is completely white, or the icon takes up the entire 16x16.
Here is the updated icons:
