MacNN has been my home page for quite some time...now I will rarely even come here...I certainly am NOT going to make a web site with pop unders my home site...and in fact since it's not like this is the ONLY mac site I surf I'll rarely even return. I don't frequent sites with pop unders and I'll be sending my seti units some other place...and I just "joined" the macnn seti team too...oh well...hope you think about stopping these stupid pop unders...

bozhe moi. get a browser that kills popups and popunders. mozilla, omniweb, icab. they're all very good. that way you can still have javascript but w/out taking its general abuses.

it seems like you really do live in the north pole, santa.

As has been explained many times, we don't want the ads any more than you do. There was a misunderstanding with our ad provider. We have already filed the necessary paperwork to get the popunders removed. It's just a matter of them processing that paperwork. This, I'm afraid, takes time. But we've done all we can to get them removed, and they will be removed, just as soon as the ad broker gets off its rear and does it.

In the meantime, there are several popup-blocking browsers which you might want to consider looking into. I use Mozilla and it works great.
You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!

ok...glad to hear the pop unders will be gone...I will return to macnn as my default web page when that happens, hopefully may1...

and yeah... I do live in North Pole, although it is not the geographical north pole...it's a small town outiside Fairbanks AK...but we've had -70F (not windchill, mind you) and we just had a snow storm (April 23 or so), so its' close enought to the "real thing" for me.
