What's the dumbest thing about MacNN's search feature? Here are your choices:

1. Searching all the forums takes about 15 minutes because it has to load a page for each forum that exists, even archives

2. You can't search by member name anymore

3. Searching all the forums turns up results from the Moderators [private] forum that we're not supposed to know about.

Where is "All the Above"?
What's with the order the forums are listed in the pulldown? What a mixed up mess. How about an option where you can check-mark the forums that you want to search? I cringe when a newbie gets reamed for not searching, cause the search function is really pretty painful.

So I agree, when people get all bothered and tell others to use the search, that'd be fair enough, if it worked...
