I'm noticing an extremely long loading time today. The boards are taking about 2-5 minutes to load-up an none of the icons/images are loading. My connection speed is uaully around 45K on my 56 K modem, but this has never been a problem in the past.

Is something being re-configured on the server today?

Well, as we posted on the main page (www.macnn.com) and the top of the forums, there was some major network maintenance being done today that affected all our machines (in addition to hundreds of others, of course). Unfortunately, it took longer than scheduled, because a UPS that one of our racks was using blew while they were doing the upgrades, and the machines didn't like getting abrubtly shut off, and we had to give them flowers and chocolate. They are doing much better now and are on a way to a complete recovery.

It's all good. Sorry for the extra downtime, but completely out of our hands.
