I have a little idea. This may be pretty dumb, but after chatting with all you MacNNers and familiarizing ourselves with each other, I'd really like to know what everyone looks like. What do you say we take this thread and each post a picture of ourselves? I'll go first...and please no stupid cartoon pics.

Now, that takes courage Anthony!

Most people on the net want to remain anonymous, for the most part, so I don't think you'll get many pics.

Now, I might be paranoid, but I would be afraid someone might filch my pic. They could manipulate it, change it, try to make fun of.......

Say, where my photoshop again..........?

It appears that TonyKG has removed the original, so nobody can marvel at my PS5.5 skills anymore. BooHoo!

Hey, did you notice? Anthony the PClover and Feathers look almost alike. There is a minor difference though, is Feathers' hair different or something? I cant tell.
I send my picture too. But how?

Hey Anthony, I was with you on this one, I was also curious as to what everyone looks like. I would put my own pic up, but I haven't got any scanned. Maybe soon, I'm just worried that feathers will start getting all these weird sexual fantasies about me, and you know, generally become obsessed with me and start stalking me. Hey, I feel these are legitimate comcerns....

Think, you have every right to be afraid of the gayness of Feathers. I mean, what kind of BOY chooses a screen name like Feathers anyway?

Feathers, do you know what a submarine and a U.S. marine have in common? Sailors want to go down on both...

SEMPER FIDELIS (Always Faithful) Is the Motto of the United States Marine Corps. The shortened Semper Fi is usually reserved as a greeting from one Marine to another

Marines Creed (My Rifel) removed by fletch521.

Fletch, I appreciate your explanation of the term Semper Fidelis. It's good to learn at least one thing a day.

But I don't appreciate your posting of the Marine's Rifle Creed. Americans tend to think of the internet as their playground, but the online community is a world-wide community that mostly disregards borders. Any one of the posters in this forum could be someone sitting at a computer in a country whose political ideology may not conform to a Marine's or the American government. But they should feel welcome here because in a Mac forum, their views and experiences on the Macintosh platform is as legitimate as anyone's. But posting "We know that it is the hits that count", refering to killing other people, doesn't make for a very welcome environment.

uh oh...

you both have valid points and reasons

i have respect for all of the people in our armed services and the sacrifices they make, the creed is a bit harsh for a Mac forum though... kinda like talking religion and/or politics...

Why not re-post the creed and replace the word "rifle" with "iMac"? A lot more people would enjoy it then!

keekeeree's comments reminded me that foreign agents may be reading these post, you know, loose lips sink ships and all. So I share his concern that these potential enemies learn as little as possible about the Marines they may have to face in combat.
