It really can't be that hard. Just copy the HTML from the other forums, change title to "Mac modification".

Let people besides admins and mods look at IP #'s so we can know for certain who the unregistered posters are. For instance, then we wouldn't have to guess that buttsmurf is cash.

Ok posters time to let them have it. MacNN Staff It's our duty to let MacNN know we hate intelliTXT!

It's actually far easier than copying and pasting to create a new forum. It takes just a minute or so; the process is pretty much fully automated.

I just question how many people would participate in it. There aren't that many things you can do with your Mac. I guess we can set it up and see how it goes. If it proves to be popular we'll keep it, if it doesn't, we won't.

FYI,
Those IPs were unique, but they're both AOL. So I'm not sure what's worse, assuming that Cash posted both the messages, or letting the world know that Cash uses AOL. hehe.

Dammit. You caught me. I use AOL in the summer, cuz I live at home. GRRRRRR. That's probably the cause of most of my problems. Hehe. Oh well, I dont have to pay for it.

What a riot we have got going here. I'll bring my hammer along and we'll do some modification the only way I know how!
Ok ok , But I plan on overclocking my G3 this weekend (got to bring down my seti times; must find aliens). Of course I'll start out slow and see what happens over the next week.

Judging from the enthusiasm of ppl about a mac mod fourm, i beleive it would be quite a hit!
at least it would get more response than lets say.... the netscape 6 fourm!

GOD AM YOU? Well, although women often scream that yes, indeed, I am a GOD, it's nice to get some recognition elsewhere, even if it isn't proper english. Thank you my arabic friend! But shouldn't it be ALLAH AM YOU?

Back to the point, I have my prying bar and my de-constructing hammer at hand, now i just need a mods forum to know how to use them properly....

Ok Hi everyone. If you make a mac mod forum, it'd probably end up havinga bunch of you guys voiding your warranty. But thats ok, I understand that with apple computer, especially the iMacs, I packed in the CRAPPIEST video cards I could find, so I understand why you're doing this. If you make one (Mac mod forum), I'll purchase all of you G4 towers with a gig of ram each. Sound good? Great! NOW MAKE THAT ****ING FORUM!!!!!

Hey seti nice wave . I'll keep on looking for you.
Well I overclocked my G3/350 to 400. It is working fine.My seti times have improved my old times were 7 hours 52-55 minutes and now having completed a couple of blocks at 400 I'm down to 7h and 6 minutes and everything across the board feels faster.
And on another note I have installed more ram, now 256 MB and also have installed a second hard drive; 13 gigs more.
Ps these were all done at different times in the past. On the same machine.

Ok, I've waited for FREAKING EVER! You will make a mac mod forum, or I will spam all the forums.... and you cant block my IP because I have the non static crappy kind. THIS IS A THREAT. MAKE THE FORUM NOW! Its pretty obvious that everyone wants one, and you admins claim its so easy to make... DO IT THEN! I'm getting PISSED HERE!

No. I'm not gonna relax. Why? A SH*TLOAD of reasons.

1. The admins said it was "super dooper easy" to set up a new forum.

2. it's OBVIOUS that a lot of people want this forum.

3. I have 2 iMacs sitting here, right next to each other, awaiting some help to Overclock, swap parts, and make a monster.

BUUTTTTTT

The MacNN gods are being really freaking DUMB and not making the god d*mn forum. They said it was easy, they said they'd do it, I need it, its obvious people want it, and I've been waiting for over 2 months. This is f-ing ridiculous. I'm about ready to just seek help from www.xlr8yourmac.com and after I have the ultimate iMac created, I will put a big freakign "MACNN IS LAME" stickers on the side of it, and preach about how lazy the admins are on this board. MAKE THE F-ING FORUM ALREADY!!!!!!!
