How can a topic mysteriously disappear? I posted a topic the other day in the G3/G4 area about GHz G3s, and now it's just not there. What's the deal?

and slboett, little do you know in this particular matter at hand, and many times you have demonstrated your willingness to jump to conclusions without EVER HAVING THE FACTS regarding internal MacNN forum issues. if you want to be helpful, then do not second-guess the forum moderators when it comes to matters of administration. you simply DO NOT know/have all the facts, and it is not a moderator's job to stop and explain his/her job.

The last two messages I posted have been deleted.
You see, I posted to the OS 9 forum and Wlonh replied with a very angry message. When I stated that he didn't dissprove my point, and instead was being mean for some unknown reason he deleted my posts.
If I had cursed or flamed him I would understand, instead I feel as though I have been censored.
If this bullying keeps up I am sure myself and others would soon leave.

read the thread again, i have clarified a very little bit so that you might understand better...

you first inferred, in the thread in question, that MacOS 9.04 was only available at certain times of the day.

it is NOT OFFICIALLY available at all, so the whole matter of some getting it through the Software Update control panel WAS A FLUKE.

Ok, I understand now. You felt there was a misunderstanding, so you naturally felt it necessary to mock me and delete my post...
And when I thanked Misha for understanding me you deleted that too. I guess you felt thanking Misha was "flaming" you as well.
I'm not going to bother. I've heard tales of your mod abuse from others. I guess I will follow my friend's advice now "don't post to any thread that Wlonh moderates." I can see why now.

C. You're a freaking admin on a web board. To me, thats not exactly something to brag about, nor will it score you any dates. So quit pretending like you are all high and mighty. Other boards I'm at have MUCH cooler admins (Chanda )... they don't act like such arrogant pricks.

Maybe you'd realize the world is a more colorful and sunny place with people like Anthony around. But instead, you have your head shoved so far up your ass all you see is darkness. Not to mention the fact you're a ****head. Get it? hehe

The flaming needs to stop. If you feel you have been wronged on these boards, talk to Misha or I personally (email). Wlonh is the lead moderator on these boards and does an excellent job most of the time, so please, even if you don't agree, just respect the decision that are made and don't flame. Use the appropriate channels to vent your frustrations.

These boards are very civil and productive. Let's keep them that way.

While I love Monsieur wlonh cuz he's a generally cool guy, and he's quite the political philospher , I agree with some of the underlying current of this thread, and completely disagree with other parts.

Anthony, you've got to understand that your brand of humour or whatever you call it is not productive. It's a pain in the ass for all of us who actually try to take information from the fora.

In another post, you compare piracy to MP3s. You don't seem to like being told that your particular voice and/or information is not in the form that we (the admins and moderators) feel is in the best interests of serving people and sharing information. If you feel (and I don't think justly) that your voice in being silenced, maybe you don't fit in on the boards.

Now, I'm a free-speech proponent and a stringent liberal (wlonh - no comments on that one ), and that means I will fight with my last breath for your right to say whatever you want. I've at times criticized the ACLU for being too conservative in certain cases. And I've even talked in private with wlonh about his practices, and I can assure you that the man is honorable and isn't trying to screw anyone over.

And that's the other side of free-speech - disgression. Remember that part of the whole Constitutional issue - can't yell fire in a public building, can't scream threats, can't defame people.

Your right to speak is insured. You're right to be an ass is not. Please note the difference.

K. Sorry. The reason I really dont like him dates back to that whole VCD issue. I posted a question regarding making my pirated bond movie into a VCD, and people jumped all over my sack, including Wlong. Also, I complain (constructive criticsm) about my iMacs faults. Is that wrong? No. I just want a better video card. ANd I still dont see why apple ships that stupid mouse. Anyway, I got flak for both of those..... wlong was specifically a dick to me. So thats one of the reasons I dont like him. The others I dont feel like typing because tehy were explained in my above post. Sooo..... yeah, this message is more mature, but at least you can understand that I am not the only one who doesnt like him.
