I post in all sorts of usenet newsgroups & various forums from and to many different sites all over the net. One feature that, for example, RemarQ.com provides, that MacNN doesn't, is placing a mark (in their case, an exclamation mark in a yellow circle) by the titles of discussions that you have posted in. It's a great feature, as it always reminds to check for responses in topics that I didn't start.

Am I the only person who'd like to see this implemented in MacNN, or are there others out there?
Be happy.

yes, but would the suggested feature remedy your condition?

sorry, had to...

and while i am here, let me rant a bit:

'yeah' is yes, you know how to pronounce it, everyone who can speak English knows how, yeah?

'yea' is pronounced yay (long 'a' sound) also means yes, antiquatedly speaking

'ya' as in 'hey, ya know...' is pronounced yuh and means 'you'

you could look it up

I'm almost positive UBB doesn't support that feature, but there may be an add-ont that does. We'll look into it.

Something you'll find on many UBB forums are "features" that are unsupported hacks of the software.

We upgrade our forums as soon as we find out about a supported upgrade so that we can offer you the latest features, but are not as enthusiastic from a technical support angle to implement many of the really cool features that some hacks provide. These hacks are not supported by the UBB creators and thus are hard for us to implement.

The forums something we'd like to keep as up to date as possible with the latest features, so when making suggestions, please post the URL's to places that we can look at for more information.

I'm not sure if this "feature" you've spoken about is a hack or not, but would like to look into.

Judging from my original post, it shouldn't be very hard for you to come up with one

I wasn't trying to be hostile, if that's how you took it. Sorry about that...

Hey John the use of the term "hack" is a bit er...provocative, maybe? The suggestion being that it's automatically bad! Linux is one huge big "hack-job" and it's really rather good.

And "supported" vs "unsupported", you sound like you might have worked for Microsoft!!!
