I really think this ad should be banned... It is terribly annoying.

This is the Backwire.com ad that says something like 'catch the B to win'. It is done in Flash and has a really annoying (and persistent) ticking noise that goes with it. Stopping the ad (with the contextual menu) does not shut it up... I keep having to reload pages when this ad comes on to shut it up!

In addition, some of the Java-based ads slow down IE5 so much (IE5's Java is terribly slow) that I had to turn Java off.

The speed of IE's Java has nothing to do with IE. IE uses Apple Macintosh Runtime for Java. Blame Apple.
