I am specifically referring to the "Show Topics from last _ days" bar. I like to set it to 2 days. So I set it that way. The problem is that every time I come back to one of the forums, it is no longer set to 2 days. I have to keep changing it back. I'm beginning to think MacNN doesn't like me. I've had not huge problems with this forum, but a few irritating small ones. Such as I had to keep remaking preferences. Now I also have font size problems that I have to address every time I come to this forum. And I'm sorry to say that it is only on the MacNN forums that I have these minor irritations. It's too bad because I like this forum. What could be the reason? I don't have these problems on the MacFixit or NoWonder forums.

wipe 'em and start over, get all your settings right all at once and you should be ok

The way to fix this is to go to "Preferences", delete all cookies, then go back to Preferences, select "From the last 2 days", and submit.

If all goes well, your pref's will be stored.

I have just returned to this forum. And guess what the "Show topics from last...." shows! In unmistakable black and white: "Show topics from last 5 days" So I go to the preference page and lo and behold! It clearly states "Show topics from last 2 days. I know it's a minor irritant but that along with always having to adjust the fonts on this forum makes for some real exasperating frustrations.

There are some issues with MacNN.com's UBB system. We will be attemping to remedy some of them in the next few days. Please just hang tight. I will post more, after the possible fixes have been implemented.

Okay! Everyone had their chance to make their point, juvenile as they were. I'm throwing in the towel. I give up. I surrender! I'm withdrawing from the scene. I retreat from the field of battle. Now you can just fight it out amongst yourselves. To what great imagined victory, I really couldn't say. Does anybody know?
