I don't mean to be picky, but this is sort of strange. The main font on the Internet Explorer 5 page is larger than all of the other pages, in IE5 or Netscape, on my computer. Is it just me, or do other people notice this?

Simon, it's not just you. It's me too.

Whew. I was afraid it was something my beloved Netscape was messing up, so I didn't want to say anything. (Before posting this, I fired up IE and looked, same thing there too.)

It's because they specify the font on the forum pages.. looks liks geneva 9 point to me. The front page font isnt specified, so whatever your browser has set as its default is what it uses.
everything you know is wrong (and stupid)

To change the Font/Size, go to EDIT/Preference/WEB Browser/Language-Fonts

You can change your Fonts and/or Size...

If you want to change size only...... Command+(-) or Command+(+)

That will do it

Billy--It's only the IE5 page that is affected; all the other forum pages appear in the same font and size. The IE5 page is a larger font.

George--Yes. But my question was, why only one forum in a different size, out of dozens here?

That's all

peace,
Linda

There is a IE5.0 forum, with plenty of discussion about this issue there.

I don't think you understand. On the IE5 forum (and only the IE5 forum) the font is a different size than the font on all the other forums. This occurs in IE5 and Netscape. If this is the issue you are talking about, please give me a link to a thread discussing this. Thanks.

The lines between the topics are missing on the QuickTime 4 forum, too.

i noticed this from the inception of the forum and figured someone was just 'experimenting', Mark maybe...

and then when IE5 came out and i noted the different way 5 deals with fonts, i figured MacNN had just mimicked the change with the font in IE5 forum

in other words, i have no idea

It ain't me! I got enough on my plate to be worrying about adding stuff to UBB. That's another company's job.
