Ok... I go to reload a page... and a box pops up, kermit.macnn.com requesting username and password.
Yeah, right. I'm really gonna do that.
Hack job?
Someone hack MacNN? I recommend all ppl that entered their username/password in that to change them immediately.
I have a screenshot incase any admins wanna see what it was.
It was very persistent... came back up when I cancelled, and no matter where I went. Was gone within 5 mins.
Quickly squashed...
Normal? I think not, but you never know.

Hm...
Port 5555... personal agent...
Not a hack job.
At first I thought perhaps someone had made a fake comp named kermit, spoofed the network, making it think kermit was valid... whenever something was sent through the MacNN servers, kermit was asked for teh user/pass, writing it to a database...
But...
I just tried kermit.macnn.com, which takes me to the Spinbox site... an Internet appliance?
A new member to the MacNN server family?

Spinbox is a robust ad server... we're in the process of implementing it. Obviously some quirks with the configuration still need to be worked out.

[This issue should be fixed now.]
