On the forum page where you pick the thread to go to, is it at all possible to show on that page where it has 'topic starter' and all that, who the last user to post was?
That way we would know whether a page had been updated since our last post there...
I mean, there are meant to be the document icons with the 'alias' badges on them showing updated threads, but they don't work... for whatever reason...
And this would be more accurate anyway...

while this is kind of cool and nifty, it makes the topic lines take up twice as much space... so in smaller monitors, not as many topics fit, so more scrolling, so blah.

is there a way to put "last poster" in so that each topic still only takes up one line? maybe narrow the other columns?

Misha, you kick ass. The only thing I have left on my wish list is once you post something, for it to go back to the forum, not the thread you just posted in. It seems like its an option for people who aren't very confident in what they say, or how they type.

Misha, why don't you remove those square brackets from the last poster's name? I guess it would look a little better and would be more readable.

I'll 3rd, 4th and 5th that request. For the one out of 100 times I might want to go back and see what I typed again, I could do manually.

Perhaps I am the only one who likes to check every link that I put up, and make sure the UBB code came out correctly.

I prefer seeing the new post come up. My vote is to leave it as is, except that a new topic post seems to take you back to the Forum rather than the new topic, and replies do not take you to back to the end of a thread. Those should be fixed.

ps: Since I do not live in Florida, my vote can be counted just once. Those other turkeys' votes should be disqualified because of the multiple votes submitted by kaceygones, voting under multiple names by Ca$h, and because Jsnuff1 plagiarized me in the Lounge. Besides, my Elite vote should outweigh their lower-value votes anyway.

(a suggestion I have made before, the last time this question came up)

on the page that comes up after you hit "Submit Reply" button, the one with the banners that says "Thanks for posting your message, blah blah"
As it stands, there is a single link, in the middle of the page, which sends you immediately to the first page of the thread to which you replied. (the same polace as where you are sent if you just wait.)
My idea: have multiple links on that page, for instance, the existing one could stay, and add one which sends you back to the topic list for those which want that functionality, and another which sends you to the end of the thread so you can see your post (this is what an earlier discussion centered around). For those who do not want to use these features, leave the auto-forwarding as is, so that the use of the forum will be unchanged for the rest of the people.
