saying icab is "new" is like saying your mom isnt extremely obese. It just aint so. I admit its a cool browser, and yes it needs work (mainly in the javascript dept.), but the first "public beta" was released atleast a year and a half ago. Maybe mo' maybe less. Geah.

Is anything wrong with it ?

I've found one quirky thing. It's cache files have the dates of the original files on the server, so Norton says that some have bad creation dates! And when it fixes that, the mod dates are bad, so it has to fix that too.

So, I've shown you mine . . .

Well, now it's not saving my UserName and password. Crud.

Point taken on "newness". I guess I should just say it's not done yet.

I found a fun error...

try typing a long message that scrolls the box you type in

use extra retuns if you must

like this

and scroll your browser window so that half of the text box is visible. now when the text box "bleeds" out the bottom and starts scrolling, it does this strange back-and-forth thing... very annoying and wrong, can't see what I'm doing...

Wow, I'm downloading the new version right now to see if the bad creation/mod dates are fixed.

I complained about that and got an e-mail response within 12 hours. I was impressed with that. The reason given was that iCab just copied the create/mod dates from the original file and that many were bad!

I never had memory errors. What kind?

Yeah, my version doesn't remember stuff from cookies that were placed in my previous browser either. I've been thinking about setting them up in auto fill, but too lazy so far.

iCab's techsupport is beyond compare!!! i get answers from them in the most timely fashion!!

mem err's were bogus, you'd sometimes get a error window saying 'mem getting full, please close some windows dammit'

ok so i am joking only a bit, the message did appear on occasion but not the way i worded it just now
