Nice feature, showing the most recent replier. But it causes a hit on the number of threads we can see at once on a list, since each has about double the vertical height it had beforehand.

I'd reccommend putting the "last post by... " next to a thread's title. More efficient, and easier to pay attention to, for those of use too lazy to move our eyes across the screen

If "Last Reply By" was a heading, it wouldn't have to be repeated for every topic. Then just the name could be in that column for each topic.

Yes! exactly.

the column header "Last Post" is just fine
each entry in that colomn should read something like "username MM/DD/YY, HH:MM"
then shift it to militry time to save the three characters " PM" or " AM".
make the font of the date&time a little smaller, of the name a little bigger (so they're the same size) and then it will fit nicely.
