When a thread is moved to another forum, could the mover please post a notice of such before locking it in its original forum?

If a thread is deleted, could the deleter start a new thread saying so? (Said thread could be locked immediately.)

When a thread is locked but not moved/copied to another forum, could the locker first post a short, pithy explanation?

Or, is common courtesy dead too?
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Yonkers can have better TV reception.

We usually do... just search for moved/closed threads and I'm sure you'll find that 50+% of those have such a description. For those that don't, it's usually obvious why (and thus no note is given), and generally speaking, for threads that are moved, the location that they have been moved to usually speaks for itself...
