A while back someone recommended posting a FAQ so newbies wouldn't keep asking the same questions. As there are 4 different threads on the imac posting right now asking "is iMac right for me?" I propose that question number one would be:

FAQ:
Q) Is the iMac right for me?

A) Yes. Don't argue, son, the answer is yes. Buy one now.

The second question can be what todo when the iMac crashes.

My two cents...
Other questions for the FAQ?

(boy, this would have been easier in a wider window... )

Well, that does it. I guess we're all just too lazy for this kind of thing. Who was working on this.. oh, yeah - Lon was going to discuss it with the higher-ups. He's been strangely absent recently, it seems. What gives?

I've noticed his absenteeism, also. Maybe Batman roughed him up.

Ok people listen up - if you can spare just a little time, email me and we'll get this thing sorted out.
I have a few volunteers already, but the more the merrier. Or something...
It doesn't involve much, just sort of monitoring various fora and stuff - in the email include the topics you visit (ie. iMac, iBook etc.), and the one you spend the most time at.
Also please include what kind of comp[s] you have.
It may sound a little daunting, but requires only a little effort from you...

OK, so you're back, Lon (even if not in top form)... what have you dug up for us in regard to having an official FAQ? If you have discovered that such a beast will not be accomodated for some reason, we need to hear about it. Otherwise, tell us the good news! (Or, perhaps, admit that you have been sitting on it .)

back? top form? ha! i never left, i just got tired of people tossing their personal opinions at me about me... like you just did

sitting on it? i have a business to run, among other pursuits... my plate is full, what's your excuse?

the FAQ suggestion was a good one, those that want it can make it... n'est-ce pas?

Yeesh. Well, I have always appreciated your contributions to these fora, even when I don't agree. Anyway, I was under the impression that you would be checking with the "higher ups" for us plebians to see whether or not a FAQ would be possible. As you have been less visible recently, I figured you were busy, so I wanted to see if/what you had found out. I hope I have not made you feel any more unwelcome than you seem to have been made to feel - that was not the idea at all.
In any event, would someone with some authority please let us know how feasible it would be to have a FAQ before we delve into this any more?
