Oh yeah guys, I think that the Baby Jesus Butt Plug topic and the Paper Tube Test have really added to the overall quality of the discussion in the Lounge.
Cipher, remember you're defending a guy who in the last two months has been detained by the Feds because he made the wild accusation in the forum that he would whack the Vice President and then just last week said that he thought it'd be cool to kill somebody with a spork. Obviously both were jokes and whoever turned Ca$h in was a real jerk, but he definitely isn't posting anything I want my kids finding when they come here looking for info on a digital camera or iTunes skins. And there are a bunch of fairly young kids who frequent this board. If a Mac discussion board can't be safe then what is?
If anything, with his recent stuff, I think he's pretty lucky the Admins haven't blocked his IP number.

I obviously didn't see the spork comment as I haven't been around for 2 weeks, and while Ca$h posted the baby Jesus thing, I don't really think he promoted it all that much.

The reason the admins don't ban Ca$h's IP is simply because they can't. They'd have to ban a large range of AOL users just to ban Ca$h.
And as I just said to someone else - I'm not defending Ca$h. Think about it and you just might see what I'm getting at.

I've always respected your opinions Cipher so I do see your point, but When he says that if the Vice President ever comes to his town he's "sniper rifle meat" kinda strikes me as a personal attack. And yeah I've threatened to kill some one before - but it was face-to-face and the other guy was holding a knife at the time. A bit different than posting wild threats for the whole planet to see.
As for the spork bit, it's in the "no spoon" thread - here's the quote:

And I do understand what you are saying - censorship sucks and freedom of speech is a good thing but with that freedom comes the responsibility of exercising a little discretion. Something Cash has not shown since I discovered these boards. If the boards degenerate into a chaotic hardcore say-anything-you-damn-well-please forum than I'll wager a good many quality contributors will just give it up.
IMHO, there's more to it than just not threatening people or making personal attacks. This is a community and if you aren't helping make it better, then you're making it worse.

No, he has a static IP. He can get another, but it's far more of a pain to get another IP from your IT dept. than it is to get another hotmail email address. Or, sure, we could ban the range of IPs in his block. We'd block 255 potential members too, but I'm sure Cash is the only one that posts here (out of those people).

Nah, its not even that complicated. All you've gotta do is find a free one and 'borrow' it...
And when thats the case its more like 65000 potentials (don't have to stick to changing just the last range of numbers), but of course there wouldn't be that many people... just the IP's...
