I have noticed that whenever I alter my signiture... it alters my sig in everypost I have ever made........ I do not like this....

Sometimes a sig can be a reflection to the conversation or past or present believes

I think signitures should not be universal in scope when a change occurs.... the sig you left should remain with the post, like the post itself..... this is important

please consider this request and thank you in advance for you time....

Not realistically possible.

It'd take quite a hack, I would think; entirely change how the database is read and stored.

Signatures are just that. They shouldn't reflect on the conversation; merely on ones identity.

Any relevant pictures will be posted within the body of the post and therefore will be kept...

Aint gonna happen. Sorry.

Isn't this how UBB 5 worked? It was kinda annoying if you ask me not having them all change before..

in UBB 5, when you selected to post your signature with your post, it became integrated as a part of the post (in the rest of the text, and if you editted a post, you could change the sig).
in UBB 6, the sig is a seperate entity from the post, and is displayed after every post that has the "show sig" flag on. so when you edit a post, you do not see the sig as part of the text of the post, but you can change the "show sig" flag.

Both Cipher and elzinat are right -- the problem is that UBB 6.x dynamically generates all the pages, while UBB 5.x basically updated static HTML pages whenever someone made a new post.

This is just a change in software behavior and would require major alterations to the forum software, and really is not feasible.

sorry
