Can you see this?

Well, that shows up at the top of the MacNN front page (http://www.macnn.com) when using OmniWeb. Here's a pic:

It's not really a big deal; it just looks funky and I thought MacNN ought to fix it.

[edit: okay, upon viewing this page in IE, I can't see the characters I pasted in. They're there (click the edit message link) but just are invisible in IE. Hmm...]

Is MacNN slow on Easter Sunday?

Using Netscape 4.77, cookies of -- the page loads -- as indicated by Kb transferred at bottom of window, but nothing shows.

The only way a page appears is if I click the stop button. Then the page appears.

Using IE v. 5, all forum pages load - altho even then the images don't always show. Other sites I visit are loading OK.

I experienced the same thing. I think it's a problem with the banner ads. They're the only images that aren't loading.

They've taken the banner ads off the main forum page now, so I take that as a sign they're aware of the issue.

Why hitting the "stop" button is necessary on NC but not IE I don't know.

I had that same problem too (Running Netscrape). Was also pretty much cured with the stop button. And as CaseCom said.. Banner adds semmed to be the culprit. Oh well, I never liked em anyway!
