I don't know how the performance of Flash is on Windows, but a Mac website should not be running Flash advertising! This stupid thing (maybe live-rendered particle system sparks or whatever) almost completely bogs down my Mac. Makes me hate Lancia, makes me hate Adobe, makes me hate MacNN, and makes me hate the Mach scheduler. Kind of counterproductive for an ad.

Flash sucks also on Windows. Just a little less.
I've install Click To Flash recently and it works like a charm. I can now also load h.264 videos on youtube instead of flash videos.

Heh.
+1 on ClicktoFlash.
(and I don't block ads - I don't mind them paying for my free content.)

No reason the two should be mutually exclusive, as long as you just use a CSS-based blocker.

If you're just hiding the element but the element has already been loaded, the site gets its money (if its ads even generate revenue per load as opposed to per click) and you don't have to see the ads.

It is Lancia, they keep pulling off blunder after blunder, so the ad fits them nicely.
