I think reader50 messed up the board when he took off the page links for his invisible title thread.

It is the likeliest explanation. I tried to set the exception for just that thread, and set it to default value for anything else, but vB is finicky sometimes.

Once the no-title thread falls off the first Lounge page, I'll undo that hack. No need to continue it after the joke runs it's course.

Edit: I've made a small code change, see if that does the trick.

Perhaps it is just vB karma, like in Pushing Daisies. Reader changed something profound in one thread and the vBull sought to restore the natural balance in another.

It was there before that thread, too. I think it was the photo critique thread (might have been another one, though), where it very often—though not always—‘thought’ it had one more page than it actually did.

(Didn’t see any “(1 2)” threads, not sure if it’s the same issue)

Probably not, but a cast shake-up might be in the offing. Oh wait-we already did that by adding a new mod... I guess that means there was more imbalance to make right.
