Valued member mysteriously disappeared February 18, 2010 without warning. Last glimpsed March 25, 2010. No word since. Does not respond to emails.

Last Known Location: San Diego, California (USA)

Chuckit's Moderator account has been temporarily suspended in case his computer falls into enemy hands.

Does anyone know what became of Chuckit? We've got nada. His last few posts gave no hint of an impending vacation.

I've been wondering this myself, he's been on Xbox LIVE occasionally though.

So, you gonna sell his moderator position ?

Oh, wait, California, not Illinois.

Nevermind.

Damnit I hate when we lose a chuckit.
In all seriousness we had a short discussion about this at one point, can't remember what point that was though. I hope it isn't anything serious.

Yeah, Chuckit's absence has been notable. Bring him back, and find Millennium while you're at it, okay guys?

If anyone can catch him on LIVE, ask him what's up. I'll see if I can, but my gaming hours have been really sporadic lately.

He vanished while I was having a PM conversation with him. Nothing he would want to avoid - I was going to send some money his way. You'd think that would be good reason to respond if he could.

We're hoping he's still around. But I pulled his mod powers, in case his computers went to relatives.

If a search party hasn't been sent out recently, I'm willing to go on one if I can get a PM of his real name.

This may be wildly inappropriate, but I figure there's no harm in asking.

I've tried contacting him via other means... it's been nearly a month since I tried, nothing.

I actually saw him (or whoever has his XBOX) log onto XBOX Live twice this weekend... and he immediately set himself to invisible.

Of course, it'd be simpler to just remove people from your friend's list rather than do that, but whatever.

Why would another user go invisible though?

I, too, saw him sign on XBL yesterday and immediately went invisible.

Weird.

Not that he's anything like me, but at this point the explanation would be more awkward/painful than just moving on.
(But that doesn't explain not cleaning out the friends list - unless it did, indeed, go to someone else; Of course, that doesn't jibe with the immediate invis...)

Maybe he went black. Maybe he pissed off the wrong people one time too many. It's a mystery.

Seriously though, aren't Mods required to provide real world contact info in the event of such a situation?

Which snoopy then?

I'm kinda surprised that there's no emergency contact list, at least for such an event.

For a volunteer position with (as far as I know) Not that much power, seems pretty reasonable to me.

I'm sure they did a background check with INTERPOL before hiring GH, though.

I just assumed that all Mods and Members received a thorough background check. That's what those guys in black suits and dark sunglasses told me.

You do know you don't need a rectal exam to be qualified to lock a thread, right?

There's a significant difference between "background check" and "rectal exam." The former, I've had several times and at some particularly serious depth. The latter is, well "unpleasant." Last time I had one of those, I actually had TWO because Dr. #1 failed to document that he'd done one, so Dr. #2 took it on himself to do another. Not pleasant at all.

If that is the case, then I am sure upset from the "visit" I received. Background want without a hitch.

Yeah, but I think it's an object lesson to all that documentation is crucial!

Anyone know his name, and/or tried doing a news search?

Even if he decided to go around-the-world for 4 months, you'd think someone would have heard something. After being such a prolific poster, zero activity in 4 months does not seem to bode well in my mind.

I've come to accept that this will remain an unsolved mystery, like how the Pyramids were built, and what drives cats to eat Meow Mix.

Some poking around implies that he's alive. We chose not to look further, for privacy reasons.

If he's alive and well, hopefully he'll turn up again at some point. It could be sequestered jury duty, but I'm not aware of any high-profile cases running since he vanished. A classified job would explain the disappearance too.

What kind of jury duty or classified job wouldn't even allow him to write a quick PM "Sorry, I'll be gone for a couple of months." ?

Perhaps he got a job with Apple and is taking their NDA/forums policies very seriously.

Why would he do that ?

When Tooki took his Apple job, he said properly "good-bye".
