I actually don't see why not. I would reckon that up until now, discussion should take place in the Peripherals sub forum. If there is enough traffic to justify a sub forum, we can discuss about creating a dedicated forum.

Or did you have something else in mind, mattyb?

Nah, I just wanted to make sure that I could ask about Android/OSX integration/usage etc etc somewhere. I'd prefer to do that in the MacNN forums than to join another forum. I don't think that a sub-forum is needed quite yet.

I don't think there is a need for it necessarily, but right now there is a great discussion about Android going on in the iPod/iPhone forum. And mattyb is correct, it seems as if there are a fair number of Android users here.

Might it be more sensible for Android (and other smartphones) to fall in the iPhone forum? Consumer hardware would fit if the iPhone forum were a subforum of CH, but it isn't.

Perhaps. So far I understood the iPod/iPad/iPhone forum as a subforum for iOS devices. Although it would also make sense to have discussions of Android devices there. Personally, I wouldn't mind either. Perhaps a resident mod can chime in?

Just to clarify, I was thinking for Android phones in general and not specific models or makes.
