I'm stuck.

I've been searching for the perfect OS X audio app, for music and sound design purposes and have found myself close to getting TC Works' Spark 2.5 or XL.

XL does TDm. Pro Tools doesn't do VST. (Right?)

There's just this nagging thought: Should I still give Pro Tools (software only) another thought, it being the industry standard?

I'll, for now, be using the software on a G4 450 Cube with a Tascam US-428 as the interface. In the future, I might be interested in recording more than 2 tracks simultaneously (percussion set), though.

Other apps include ReCycle, Reason 2 and sometimes a dip into Final Cut Pro.

Any experiences and help appreciated,

J
