Okay, so I finially have a need to just import some audio into FCP. Well, how am I supposed to record audio when my machine doesn't have a michrophone jack?

Well what can I use to hook up to my system to import audio now?

Do you have a digital video camera? If you're using FCP you probably do. Record your audio to the camera then transfer as you would video. I'm sure there's some USB microphones available if you do a search. What Mac do you have anyway?

I have the Dual 1 Gig Machine running OS 10.1.5.

You can always buy a Griffin iMic that will let you connect a regular microphone to your USB port.
