Does anybody here have any idea as to when Apple will add QuickTime 6 support to Final Cut Pro 3? The FCP website still says that anyone running FCP should continue to use QuickTime 5.

Any guesses?

This following comment was posted at Apple's QT Talk List. Seems some are using FCP/QT 6 without any issues at all.

"The sorts of problems that arise (from using FCP/QT6) are that it doesn't work equally well for everyone. Some people are totally unable to capture; others have no problems.

"Qualified" means it works for everyone, so even if it works 100% consistent and reliable on your system, it may not be qualified for months or until it will work 100% consistent and reliable on everyone's system."

My guess is that FCP will be updated very soon after 10.2 ships...and will play nice with all sorts of stuff at that point

Hopefully. After all, it only took them HOW long to make Final Cut compatible with OS X?
