I am trying to make mpeg files mp4, I demux the audio and video, convert the audio to mp3 with itunes so QT 6 can see it, I open the video file, and use add scaled to add the audio. everything is cool, it stays in synch. but after i convert it to mp4 the video and audio are out of synch 20 minutes into the video, an by about 40 minutes into the movie it is waaaaaay out what is up?

apparently, adding-scaled of an audio track adds technical playback problems, in addition to the fact that it changes the pitch of everything in the movie. Try the same method but instead add the video scaled to the audio (if scaling is even necessary). Also, try encoding to AIFF from iToons instead of mp3, if you have enough hard drive space
