Are there any sound cards or other devices that have an optical output? I have my computer hooked up to my receiver, but the background noise generated by my computer is very loud at high volume. When I play CD's via my DVD player which in turn is connected optically to my receiver, there is no noise at all. Any suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks.

Have a look at the M-Audio Delta DiO 2496....they even have drivers avail for jaguar.....

If $250 is too much (is for me) look at their Sonica usb to optical converter. Also has drivers, and should be able to pick it up for under $100, closer to $80.
