That exactly what I'm looking for [I posted the sound card topic after yours]. I want to record music from mic inputs and/or my guitars and it shouldn't be that difficult (but they definitely make it that way!) I blew $99 on a soundblaster for mac (which would be great in last-year's OS 9.x) but Creative Labs hasn't come out with a driver for X yet. What are these companies waiting for?

what kind of pro apps are you looking for? personally, i'm looking for multitrack in X. i know bias deck is out for X, has anyone used it? how is it in X?

for my stereo mastering needs, there's spark. you can get sparkME, a free, cut down version of spark, and there's also sparkLE, which is like $50 (?) with more features.

i think MOTU's Digital Performer is coming to X in "the second half of 2002", whatever that means. but what i'm really waiting for is Logic on X. come on, apple. you bought the company, let's have it already!
