I'm looking for an OSX music editor that will allow me to change the the level of various frequencies. For example, I have some songs that have very little bass and I wish to increase the base response of just that song so I don't have to continually change the base level on my car stereo. I want this, obviously, for remaking my cd's for use in my car. Is there anything that will allow me to do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I read that a new version of one of emagic's programs was just released for os x. It isn't free, to say the least.

it's free, and does a lot more stuff than just increase bass.

I don't turn my bass up much, but doesn't iTunes have a complete equalizer which lets you set each frequency level for each song before you burn? If that's all you need, then you don't have to look very far. I don't know what else is out there (that Apple supports.)
