I recently upgraded my G3 PB to Jaguar and brought in VLC for a media player. In playing mpg files, I get a picture but no sound. I checked to make sure the sound was "on" and the levels are up but no sound. I tried a DVD using VLC and the sound was fine. Any thoughts?

Same here. It plays SVCD/.m2v file, but not the .VOB files ripped directly from DVD-video disc. Although I have the MPEG2 codec from Apple, but I don't think it is the case here. First off, I was thinking my G3/500 is not capable to do so.

I removed the program and reloaded it. That seems to solve most of the problems. Still won't play all but it does a great job on a lion's share of files.
