My audio card seems to have gone out on me and I was wondering if anyone has tried the iMic for audio output. The Griffin webpage says they don't think it'll work on Macs with pci USB cards, but only on Macs that came with USB built in. I need to know for sure if it does or does not work so that I know which route to take to fix my problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I've got a beige G3 333 with an Orange PCI USB/Firewire card, and I'm sitting here listening to iTunes with an iMic. Works just fine...

I've also used an M-audio Duo USB box for the same purpose - nicer sound, but I can't justify keeping it just for playback!

Unfortunately audio recording is not as good on this machine - gives me nasty artifacts. I use my iBook for that instead.

I'm running 10.2.1 (448 Mb of memory)

I'd say it's definitely worth a try.
