What is the best way to run speakers off of a G4? I have Klipsch for my computer area but would like to run speakers (iTunes) in another room. I seem to remember amplifier by someone like Griffin, although I can't seem to find it now, that is designed for use with a computer.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a DP533 G4.

thanks

the coolest thing i've heard to do is hook it up to this piece of equipment called an audiotron. It's basically a $300 mp3 player, but it has ethernet input, and rca as well as optical outputs. you just plug you mac into it, plug it up to your receiver and there is some configuration to get it to know where you're mp3s are, but this guy put together a page on how to set it up w/ Jaguar. here's the page: http://www.lighthouselofts.com/paul/...audiotron.html

i think it's the griffin imike, has usb audio outs... i think.

i'm running powered speakers (m-audio sp-b5's, $300.pair US) from my HEADPHONE jack & they sound awesome.

otherwise, u need a usb-to-audio adapter, check the computer (or music instrument) retailers.

have fun!
