Hello friends,

I would like to turn my 7600 in a home theater station and this is my idea:
- 7600 with G3/375 upgrade
- OsX
- iTune or better for MP3 playing (I hope to find such as Soundjam)

What I need now, are:
- DVD-Rom player internal to change it with the original CD-Rom
- MPEG decoding card with composite/s-video out
- Digital Audio for Dolby Digital/DTS out for 5.1 Surround

Can you give some suggestion what are the best stuff for me?

Your best option is to spend $150 or less and get a MP3 capable DVD player.

Not only will it be MUCH cheaper and less of a hassle, you'll have a nice sleek design with all the proper outputs, and a remote.

Some players will even play MP3 from DVD-R by the way.

I would also suggest that you not do that. Sounds like a very expensive pain in the ass. Not many SCSI DVD-ROM drives so you have to buy an ATA card. Wired4DVD made a decoder combo. Was that SCSI?
