I've come across a few video files that have a .ogm file extension. From what I understand, this is a open source format that uses Ogg Vorbis for audio and divx5 for video.

Does anyone have more information about this format or know of a way to view this content on a Mac?

Thanks.

I dont know alot about the format beyond what you said but I have found that VideoLan player will play them as well as many other formats that the quicktime player wont. You can get it here:

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html

Its still beta ( v 0.5) but I have had few problems with it.

Hope that helps!
