Hello!

I have to make a decision for my university - should we go with the QuickTime Streaming Server or with RN Helix?

Currently we have an IBM Video Charger - turnkey solution says it all. It went down, I put up a QTSS and it runs great. Our distance learning people do everything in QT, they also digiztize most of the content for the school.

Then the LIbrary comes along, they don't like QT. They want the Helix server. They can't figure out how to create QT content, but they think the can figure out how to create Real content.

I have to support the hardware and software. I want the QTSS to stay in place. Others are calling for yet another change. I have to explain to my boss why to keep one over the other.

Any one have any suggestions as to how to justify keeping the QTSS and ignoring calls for Helix?

TIA
