I am in the market for a digital video camera for my new eMac, running OS X v. 10.2, and would appreciate any recommendations based on the following criteria:

1. Price (under $600)
2. Compatibility with Mac OS X and iMovie

Also, can video be saved to CD-R? If so, how many minutes of video will a CD-R typically hold?

Thanks.

Check out the Canon ZR series.

I bought a ZR10 2 years ago and it's been a great little camera. The newer models have added more features (for less money!).

The ZR40 retails for $699. You can probably find it for less.
You might be able to pick up an older ZR model 20, 30 etc for much less.

Canon has excellent compatibility with OSX and iMovie. No problems whatsoever. Nothing to install, it just works.
