If you're still looking I can recommend three great books -- all are must haves.:
1). "Technique of film editing" by Karel Reisz.
2). "In the blink of an eye" by Walter Murch
3). "First cut: conversations with film editors" et al
These aren't technical books, but you'll get that with what ever editing program you're using. These books are basically on the philosophy of editing -- what works where. Your real editing skills will come from doing -- developing a style -- but reading these will definitely give you food for thought and send you down the path.
