Hi,

I just got around to trying my old microphone (shipped with my beige G3) in my new dual G4. I can't seem to get the audio controller to take sound in from the mic. Does my old mic not work in this system, or am I maybe doing something wrong in the software side?

Thanks,
Phil.

I'd guess that the new line in ports don't work at all with those old apple microphones. Those mics have preamps in them and wierdly long 1/8 inch connectors. Try using a normal mic with an 1/8 inch adapter...I bet that will work.
