Logic, Bias Deck 3.5 – capable of surround sound mixing
but you will need an audio interface that can do surround sound (5 seperate channels) to mix
Bias Peak 3–stereo waveform editor. Limited DV version comes with final cut pro.
Audacity–open sourced(free) multitrack audio editor, similar to Peak and Deck. You can probably mix durround w/ this if you have said hardware and then output the seperate channels to aif and use another program to make them Dolby Digital or DTS etc. (I think...)
All of the above can do waveform editing (visual) where you see the peaks and valleys of the sound wave. All except Logic (assuming your using os x) can use VST effects.
